EUCHARISTIC SERVICES – Clonskeagh, Kilmacud and Mount Merrion Parishes

As you are probably aware there are 29 Masses that need to be covered in the three parishes each week. 18 of these are weekday Masses and 11 are weekend Masses. This is matched by a reduction in parish clergy and illness among some of our priests. We are lucky that the priests at Blackrock College have been of great help in covering some Masses. At a recent meeting of members of the Parish Pastoral Councils of the three parishes, it was proposed that in each parish there will be one weekday, when a Eucharistic Service is led by a trained member of the congregation, instead of a Mass. Over the next few weeks we will be inviting people from the parish to become part of the team who will lead these services. Hopefully through services led by people of the parish the richness of the first church will be expressed, and those who lead will understand the responsibility of us all in forming a prayerful parish.
