Special Ministers of Holy Communion or Ministers of the Eucharist join with the Priests of the Parish to serve our Lord by ministering his Body and Blood to those present at daily and weekend Masses and other special liturgies. They also serve the unity of the worshipping community by taking Communion to those members who are prevented by sickness, old age or other cause from taking part in the gathering for Mass.

Ministers of the Eucharist work closely with our other liturgical groups. In Mount Merrion we are lucky to have approximately 60 Ministers at present , drawn from all parts of our Community, and our Ministers show great commitment in the service the offer to the Parish.
