Welcome to our new Archbishop.
On Tuesday morning, the Feast of the Presentation in the Temple, Archbishop Dermot Farrell DD will present his letter of appointment from Pope Francis in the Pro-Cathedral and celebrate his first Mass as our new Archbishop. We
hope and pray that he shares in the wisdom of Simeon and Anna who greeted the parents of Jesus as they came to dedicate him to God in the Temple. They could recognise him through God’s grace and trust that he would bring salvation to his people, Israel. Our diocese needs a strong leader to guide us through this difficult time, to keep our spirits up and hearts full of hope. May Archbishop Dermot have many long and happy years as our pastor, blessed with health and happiness in his ministry. Welcome Archbishop Dermot.
