Personnel changes at the Parish Office

Dear Parishioners

It has been a very long year for so many of us under the Covid-19 level-5 lockdown restrictions. In that context, it is perhaps not too surprising for us to learn that Rosemary Dempsey is leaving us and moving on from her role as Parish Secretary. Rosemary has served Mount Merrion Parish for over twenty-five years and we are deeply appreciative of her dedicated service and friendship to many over that time. She offered a warm welcome to parishioners phoning, emailing and coming and going to the office, assisted the smooth running of many parish events and initiatives over the years and was a kind support to the priests who came to minister here.

As we are still subject to level 5 restrictions, we are unable to meet socially at this time, but we can arrange a social gathering perhaps at some future date. In the meantime, gestures of thanks and appreciation have already been arranged for Rosemary.

I know you join with me, the Parish Pastoral Council, the priests and staff, in wishing Rosemary much joy and every happiness in her next stage of life’s journey. The parish office can forward any cards or emails to Rosemary should you wish to send a personal greeting to her.

Kind regards, Fr Joe
